The Luminox watch brand was founded in 1989 by Barry Cohen when he realized the benefit of a unique, Swiss powered illumination system and decided it would be a very beneficial addition to the watch industry.  The system would make watches more visible.  He obtained rights to the system and it is now known as Luminox Light Technology (LLT).  A US Navy Seal contacted them and asked for the LLT to be incorporated into a watch for night missions.  It became known as the Original Navy Seal Dive watch.  Luminox expanded the collection to include a variety of dial colors and many types of styles for the active consumer, the sportsman, law enforcement , and of course, military groups.  Luminox is found in more than 30 nations.  So for a watch that you'll be able to read in any light, Luminox is the watch for you.
